Am I Capable Of Being Accepted Into The University Of Pittsburgh?
-I am a junior in high school and I want to go to Pitt for the premed program (probably major in biology). Here is what my stats look like…
-Gpa of 3.6-3.75
-Top 25% of class (Class of about 300)
-I am in the most advance math class juniors are allowed to take (Trig & El Functions)
-I am doubling up in chemistry II & biology II currently
-National Honors Society
-I am in a high enough rank where in my senior year I will be in a dual enrollment program where I will be taking a english class and a social science class in my senior year in a local college and be earning actual college credits
-I will be taking Spanish AP, Physics Ap, and Calculus Ap in my senior year.
-I am/was in the marching band for 5 years (6 when I will be a senior) I am 1st trumpet this year and most likely be drum major next year
-I am/was in the jazz band and concert band for 5 years
-I volunteer in my church’s vacation bible school
-I haven’t taken the Sats yet but I am going for a range of 1700-1800 or higher.

You have amazing stats. I am sure you will get accepted. If you have volunteer work under your belt, why not apply to Duke, Stanford, etc.? Also, make sure you get A’s in your dual enrollment courses because Medical Schools usually look at these grades as well–even though you took them in High School.
